Creating a League

Learn how to set up and configure a new disc golf league.

Overview

Creating a league in Dynasty sets up your entire season in one go. You'll configure your league type, schedule events, and optionally enable features like bag tags and divisions. As the league creator, you automatically become the first coordinator.

How to Create a League

Follow these steps to get your league up and running:

  1. 1Open Dynasty and tap the "+" or "Create League" button from the Home tab.
  2. 2Enter your league name and an optional description.
  3. 3Choose your league type: Standard (traditional disc golf with full rounds) or Putting (putting-only sessions).
  4. 4Select the format: Singles (individual play) or Doubles (team play).
  5. 5Set up your event schedule by choosing a recurrence pattern (e.g., weekly on Tuesdays). Dynasty will generate all your event dates automatically.
  6. 6Optionally configure a course/venue for your events.
  7. 7Review your settings and create the league.

What Happens When You Create a League

When you create a league, several things happen automatically:

  • A unique 6-character join code is generated that you can share with players.
  • Your first season ("Season 1") is created with all scheduled events.
  • You're added as the first member and coordinator.
  • A default "General" division is created for all players.
  • If you enabled bag tags, initial tags are assigned.

League Settings

After creation, coordinators can adjust league settings at any time. You can update the league name, description, and logo. You can enable or disable bag tags, manage divisions, add or remove coordinators, and regenerate the join code if needed.

Tip: You can have up to 500 members and guests combined in a single league.

Coordinator Permissions

Coordinators have full control over the league. They can create and manage events, submit scores for any player, manage members and guests, configure divisions and bag tags, and add or remove other coordinators. Any member can be promoted to coordinator by an existing coordinator.
